Developed entirely in-house by Vertex Audio, Scream Box runs your signal through a multi-stage analogue-modelled processing chain that delivers everything from subtle harmonic warmth to full demonic destruction. Whether you're adding grit to a clean vocal, layering texture under a mix, or building something completely inhuman — Scream Box gets there.

The Drive engine is the core. Push it gently and it adds the kind of harmonic color that makes a vocal sit forward in a mix without fighting anything. Push it hard and it saturates, compresses, and tears — the way real analogue hardware does when it runs out of headroom.

Sub Octave blends in a full octave-down signal that inherits the same saturation character as your vocal. Not a clean sine wave — a living, breathing low-end extension that hits like a freight train.

Formant Shift moves the resonant identity of the voice itself. Low values thicken and darken. High values push toward something not quite human.

GRACE — a machined-aluminum console-style output fader — is your final trim. Set your Drive character, then ride GRACE to place it perfectly in your mix.

10 factory presets take you from Light Grit to Full Chaos, all calibrated for consistent output so you can switch between them mid-session without blowing your ears out.

Tracking mode kills oversampling for zero-latency recording monitoring. Mixing mode engages the full high-resolution processing chain for your final bounce.
